about us

yoga school & academy

In the past it was often thought that getting older was a time to slow down and take it easy. Thanks to medical research, we now know that staying active through our senior years not only delays the aging process but also significantly improves our well-being and quality of life.

Many of the health problems associated with older age such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, and joint problems are in many cases, simply the result of leading a more sedentary lifestyle.

bespoke yoga studio

The NHS advises older adults do some type of physical activity every day that improves strength balance and flexibility on at least 2 days a week. If you’ve fallen or are worried about falling my individual tailored programmes will help make you stronger and feel more confident on your feet, although people are living longer and often remaining healthy until a great age, many people still experience problems with moving around. Getting older doesn’t mean giving up exercise however there are a few things that change with age and need to be considered, with my knowledge I know what to avoid, what extra risks there may be, but most importantly how to keep exercise fun & challenging at any age. Speak to your GP if you have any concerns about exercising.

Through a combination of specially tailored aerobic, strength training & stretching exercises I can help to dramatically improve your health and mobility. Engaging in a light to moderate exercise programme will help to boost your energy levels and enable you to lead an active life as you get older.

Step 1

You will begin with a free consultation and a 30 minute taster session to introduce some of the exercises & workouts I will be looking to provide you with, should you decide to sign up.
