From the minute I met Jackie I knew I was going to like her. I hadn’t done any running when we 1st met so it wasn’t only stamina and fitness she had to build on, but my confidence too. I didn’t think I’d be able to run 1 metre let alone 1 mile but Jackie had other ideas and quite quickly proved me wrong. Every session was so relaxed and lots of fun although we were all there to get a job done and that we did! We were a small group of mixed abilities but that made no difference at all, as Jackie was there to help everyone. We were all made to feel extremely welcome and Jackie is so clearly passionate about what she does. She is a huge inspiration and I cannot recommend her enough!!

My whole fitness journey and success with my health is down to the training Jackie has provided. Jackie took somebody who never exercised, Ate a poor diet, was morbidly obese, and a heart attack waiting to happen; to helping me achieve a total of 5 stone weight loss. This also enabled me to manage my asthma well, and achieve my life long ambition of running 12 marathons in 12 months. None of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for the professionalism, dedication, support, nutritional advice, and amazing motivation Jackie gave me. Jackie is in my opinion, quite literally a life saver for me. She is a world class personal trainer who can cater for every ability and life goal.

I have attended a number of fitness classes of Jackies over the years where I made progress in strength and tone. Jackie is really good in understanding individual needs, to helps and support people in reaching their own goals. A number of years ago she encouraged me and supported me to run a marathon I had gone from running about 5 miles a week in January to completing a full marathon in May of the same year Jackie offered a good training plan and advice throughout and I completed the marathon injury free. Jackie is the “Queen of mean” in a fitness class but you will certainly feel the burn and get the results you want, she certainly knows how to push and make you work harder in an enjoyable environment.

Jackie’s personal training, and classes helped me to tone up, manage my weight better, and have better overall fitness. Most importantly this helped me to help myself in managing better mental well being. As somebody who also suffers a with anxiety Jackie has an exceptional ability to make you feel completely at ease, while still pushing you to be the best version of yourself. She is very professional, offers superb nutritional advice and has a very diverse range of personal training styles and skills. Whilst training with Jackie my confidence and whole well being grew. She has the ability to light that spark of a love for exercise you never knew you had.

Jackie could not have been more helpful and never let me feel restricted by my much slower pace.  We would more often than not have a chat as we went along and our outings became a social event.   We may run three, five, seven or ten miles, but with no time pressure in mind and no feeling of having to achieve what we set out to do.  However, we usually always did – probably due to the lack of pressure. Jackie is motivational, encouraging and supportive and treats everyone the same irrespective of shape, size, age, gender, limitations and restraints.  As she has a background in healthcare combined with her fitness training, she is also able to offer dietary and well-being advice. As I now strive towards my own goal of 100 marathons – 99% of them run with Jackie’s encouragement, I look back to the time when I ran my first mile.

The NHS advises older adults do some type of physical activity every day that improves strength balance and flexibility on at least 2 days a week. If you’ve fallen or are worried about falling my individual tailored programmes will help make you stronger and feel more confident on your feet, although people are living longer and often remaining healthy until a great age, many people still experience problems with moving around. Getting older doesn’t mean giving up exercise however there are a few things that change with age and need to be considered, with my knowledge I know what to avoid, what extra risks there may be, but most importantly how to keep exercise fun & challenging at any age. Speak to your GP if you have any concerns about exercising.
